Bonus content helps to lengthen the Crash Bandicoot 4 experience

Fans may be happy to know that Crash Bandicoot 4 doesn't veer away too wildly from the game length established by previous entries in the franchise. According to Destructoid's Chris Carter, 'It's about as long as other Crash games: 3-5 hours for most people for the critical path, possibly up to 10-20+ if you 100% it.' This is still a little bit shorter than some fans were expecting. However, Carter insists that this length makes the game feel even more 'like a true sequel.'

GameSpew's Kim Snaith disputed this runtime a bit, saying that the main game will take players around 6-8 hours to complete. However, Snaith agrees that the bonus content and the higher difficulty of some spots will add a good bit of time to the game. As you play through the game, you'll unlock bonus levels and alternate playing modes that will keep the experience fresh and give you plenty of new challenges to master. According to Snaith, the bonus content should lengthen the game to roughly 20 hours, even if you never touch the multiplayer modes.
