Asmedia Asm1061 Drivers For Mac

Hi.
As the topic may give away, I'm talking about the SATA 6GB/s controllers on the motherboard. The MB has two of them, one of which is a normal SATA and one of which is eSATA. Or, both of which are SATA, depending on what information you stumple upon on the great interwebs. My problem is, they don't work. Or, I can't get them to read anything at least. To aake it clear, we're talking about the two leftmost ports on the following picture:
So, from what I understand, they're ASMedia ASM1061 ports/controlled. I've fiddled about in the BIOS, but it seems no matter what settings I try, they'll never find anything. Right now I have a normal HDD and an optical drive attached to them, but it's impossible for me to get them to find anything.
Anyone know if this can be sorted by drivers/BIOS settings, or if the ports are just flat out dead? I have 7 HHD's (1 is my SSD) and an optical drive in my current build. I'd really like to have all running if at all possible. I haven't been able to find any conclusive information on my own, so I'm asking here as more or less a last resort.
