Install PlexConnect on mac Download and unzip the PlexConnect archive from GitHub. Move the PlexConnect folder to /Applications/ on your Mac. Create and install an SSL certificate for your Apple TV.

Essentially, you run a program on your computer which masquerades as the Trailer app. Next, change one setting on the ATV, and you’re up and running.
